The first ball game at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches took place on the last day of February 2017 between the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros. Both the Nats and the Astros use this facility as their Spring Training site. The massive site includes 14 additional ball fields used for training by the two Major League Baseball clubs.

In the summer, the ballpark is home to the Nationals and to the Astros regular season professional minor league affiliate.

My first experience with Spring Training was in this fan-friendly ballpark.
