EN: The Obristhof is located on the Dorfstrasse in Oftringen.
The former farm is a long building with clearly different segments. The westernmost part was a barn, next to it the stable, the feed barn and a wooden residential part with a long window front. These were built in 1791. In 1874 a second residential part was added in half-timbered construction. In 1883 the original thatched roof was replaced by tiles.
Since a renovation in 1974, the house has served as a community center run by a non-profit association.
DE: Der Obristhof befindet sich an der Dorfstrasse in Oftringen.
Der ehemalige Bauernhof ist ein langezogenes Gebäude mit deutlich verschiedenen Segmenten. Der westlichste Teil war eine Scheune, daneben der Stall, die Futterscheune und ein hölzerner Wohnteil mit einer langer Fensterfront. Diese wurden 1791 erbaut. 1874 wurde ein zweiter Wohnteil in Fachwerkbauweise angebaut. 1883 wurde das ursprüngliche Strohdach durch Ziegel ersetzt.
Seit einer Renovation 1974 dient das Haus als Freizeitzentrum, das von einem gemeinnützigen Verein getragen wird.
