The Goshen Congregational Church was built in the Federal style in 1782. For 50 years it served as both the congregational church and the town meeting house. It was moved to make way for the John James Memorial Hall across the street. The addition in the back were complete in the in the 1960's. (

The two story high white clapboard sided church has a projecting entrance pavilion with two entrances. A ramp leads up to the south entrance. Above the entrances are 4 by 6 pane double hung windows. Above is a pediment.
The front main block has matching windows on both the lower and upper levels of each side of the building. Rising from the entrance pavilion and the main block is a square tower and a belfry with two louvered windows, one over the other.
The sides of the building are six bays deep with 4 by 6 pane double hung windows on both the lower and upper levels. An addition was later added to the back of the church.
