This pitcher plant is on display with an interpretive card in the greenhouse at the Beardsley Zoo.
The zoo's website gives this description of the plant:
"Tropical Pitcher Plants are beautiful carnivorous plants that flower all year round. As the plant grows, some of the leaves become modified, forming large flasks known as pitchers. These containers rest on the ground, and the pitcher may reach up to 14 inches high and 7 inches wide. The pitcher can hold up to four cups of fluid."

The zoo states this about the plants they cultivate:
"Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is home to many animals but we are also very involved in cultivating plants from our animals’ wild habitat. You can see some of these plants with the animals in their habitats or you can see them in our Greenhouse. Many of the plants are endangered just like the animals."
