Teatra Street 9 in Riga, built in Jugendstil in 1904. The Embassy of Italy in Latvia is located in the building.
The building dates from 1904 and was designed by the architect Friedrich Scheffel. Originally, the building was set up as a book and antique shop and was owned by K. Zihmanis.
There are more details on the building. For example, a balcony consisting of three round surfaces surrounded by a wrought iron grid in a leaf pattern. This balcony is carried on the shoulders of Atlas, Atlas even comes in two versions. At the top, the balcony is decorated with vines.
On the roof there is also an Atlas sculpture. Three muscular men carrying the world on their shoulders. A few large vases are also on the roof.
The upper window in the corner tower looks like a keyhole from a distance, surrounded by friezes in various patterns.
All the windows on the second floor have a motif of seashells at the top.
