This hydrant is located at the intersection of Route 1 and Reef Road in Fairfield Center, across from the Sherman Town Green. It is one of many that was painted like a soldier from its original yellow color by Jeanne Harrison to celebrate Fairfield's 375th anniversary in 2013.
