"Kalanianaole Beach Park, also known as Nanakuli Beach, is a 40-acre park situated along Oahu's western shore down the Farrington Highway. This beach boasts soft, white sand and rolling blue waves. On weekends, this beach can get busy; it is one of the more popular ones on the Waianae Coast. The park itself has numerous picnic tables shaded by large trees. There is also a playground and a baseball field in the adjacent lot.
Public restrooms and freshwater rinse showers are available. Camping at the beach is also allowed with proper permits from the state. There are 11 sites. Only above-ground charcoal grills are allowed—no open fires.
Winter swells can be quite large here, causing dangerous shorebreak and undertows. Check conditions before going in the water." (
