Hanaiakamalama. This estate was the personal property of Queen Emma (1836-1885), left to her by her uncle john young ii. She and king Kamehameha iv used it as their summer home. In her later years, she spent much of her time here caring for the garden. It was sold after her death to the Hawaiian government. Since 1915, daughters of Hawaii has maintained the property.
