The Joslin building was constructed in 1909 to house the Payless Market on the ground floor and a hotel on the second floor. It is a brick building which has been plastered over. In the course of several remodelings, the plaster has been removed to reveal the signage underneath. The market featured groceries and meats as well as the Iris brand of food products. The market proudly claims to buy for cash and sell for less. The sign faces the main street through town, once U.S. Highway 80. The building is unoccupied.
