Not only a wayside cross, but also a runwayside cross, the first I've ever seen.

EN: This stone cross stands on a dirt road west of Dittingen, right where it crosses the airfield runway. Although the cross is probably older than the runway, it looks as if it was intentionally aligned with it. The road, of course, can only be entered outside of flight hours.
Apart from that, the cross is quite inconspicuous: just over two meters high and no decorations or inscriptions whatsoever.
DE: Dieses Steinkreuz steht an einem Feldweg westlich von Dittingen, genau wo dieser die Landebahn des Flugplatzes kreuzt. Obwohl das Kreuz vermutlich älter ist als die Landebahn, sieht es so aus, wie wenn es absichtlich auf sie ausgerichtet wäre. Der Weg kann natürlich nur ausserhalb der Flugzeiten betreten werden.
Abgesehen davon ist das Kreuz ziemlich unscheinbar: Etwas über zwei Meter hoch und keinerlei Dekorationen oder Inschriften.
