Marker Text:
Captain Leroy Robbins
1st MISSOURI INFANTRY

While working as vice president of the St. Louis Well Machine and Tool Company, Leroy Robbins also served with the National Guard throughout three conflicts. He commanded a unit of Missouri volunteers during the Spanish-American War and in 1916 to Texas to prepare for possible conflict in the Mexican Border Crisis. During World War I, Robbins led an Army regiment stationed in South Carolina.

Robbin's years of dedication to his country exemplify what it means to be a citizen soldier.
