This tree ring growth display is located in Simcoe's Wellington Park. The tree was cut down in 2001 and was planted around 1742. There are various historical notes including 1792 when Norfolk County was founded, the War of 1812 and the building of the Alligator Tug in Simcoe (1890).

The display was created from an Oak tree by Matt Redde Kopp from Valley Heights Secondary School in 2012 and was a project of the Norfolk Heritage Committee.
