Jesse W. Haymaker was 71 years old when he died in May, 1914. In that era of time, 71 was considered quite old. Other than he was affiliated with the Woodmen of the World organization, it would be difficult to find much else about him. There may be clues in the surrounding graves nearby that also have the Haymaker sir name on them, but that only shows possible relationship, not the what, where and when of Jesse Haymaker's actual lifetime. Such are the secrets that go to the grave with those who know!
This Woodmen of the World memorial gravestone is of classic design with the stone tree trunk with missing limbs, a large Woodmen of the World emblem, and a scroll onto which name, dates, and short expressions about the person are carved.
