This beautiful insect hotel is located in a large pollinator garden in front of the main entrance to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina.
The day we were there, 22 Jul 2019, the pollinator garden was in bloom in several species of bees and butterflies were flying around.
We had no idea at that time that just a few years later in 2021, Younger Sister Blaster would make insect hotels and pollinator gardens the central feature of her Girl Scout Gold Award project to educate and inform children about the importance of protecting pollinators, showing them how to start doing it in their own backyards.
