The hopper and brake van are on display with Bulli Number 2 Engine. Coal, or black diamond was an essential component of the economy of the area. These two carriages were likely used to transport coal from the Bulli No 2 mine across the main south line and to the coast.

Some time after 2006 the engine and carriages were enclosed in a chain wire fence but they are not well cared for. Time has not been kind to the carriages.
