Highland was founded in 1994 by Oscar Wong and is the oldest operating brewery in the region. The brewery originally was in a rested basement until 2006, when they moved to the current location which used to be the Blue Ridge Motion Picture Studio where they brew over 60,000 barrels annually. There is a taproom, meadow, event center, and rooftop bar.
