This piece was created for the Weld Country Fallen Officers Memorial by Greeley artists Deborah Dalton and Michael McBride (wife and husband team). They created the human figure, completed all the etching on the memorial and sited the piece to be the gnomon of a sundial for this memorial. An eternal blue light celebrates this piece and honors those who have fallen.
The plaque reads:
As the sun shines on us today,
let us remember
The shadows of the past and
look with hope to the future
Reflection Thru Time

The memorial features the names of the fallen officers from Weld County, an eternal blue light, the sculpture, seating to reflect while at the memorial. The layout of the memorial is that of a law enforcement badge. There are engraved pavers showing support which helped fund the memorial. The center sculpture also acts a a gnomon of the sundial as the memorial is sited to be a large sundial.
