Location Information

Villers-en-Cauchies is a village and commune in the Department of the Nord, on the Chaussee Brunehaut, between Naves and Saulzoir. The Communal Cemetery is North-East of the village, on the road to Haspres.

History information

The cemetery was used by the Germans, who made a row of graves near the North-West corner; and after the 20th October, 1918, by the British, who buried near the South-West corner. There are now over 20, 1914-18 war casualties commemorated in this site.

Villers-en-Cauchies est un village et une commune du département du Nord, sur la Chaussée Brunehaut, entre Naves et Saulzoir. Le cimetière communal se trouve au nord-est du village, sur la route de Haspres.

Informations historiques

Le cimetière a été utilisé par les Allemands, qui ont fait une rangée de tombes près du coin nord-ouest; et après le 20 octobre 1918, par les Britanniques, qui ont enterré près du coin sud-ouest. Il y a maintenant plus de 20 victimes de la guerre de 1914-18 commémorées sur ce site.
