In 2018 many communities celebrated the centenary of the end of the First World War with small commemorative items.
In this example two benches were placed in a small garden area near to the original war memorial.
This particular bench has two doves flying over some poppies (also a symbol of remembrance for war dead), both with olive branches in their beaks.
The words 'Lest We Forget' are also included in the design.
