The Grand View Cemetery was founded in 1885, with the first internment being during April of 1887.

The Receiving Vault is constructed of cut stone. There are two small stained-glass windows, one on each side of the rectangular building. Above the copper plated doors on the front of the building are the words "RECEIVING VAULT" in relief. There are a pair of columns beside the entrance. It does not appear that this building has been used as a depository for some time.
