The municipality of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht has contracted Huib van den Hoven Plantsoenwerken BV to design and realize this roundabout. Former employee Mr. Bart Sanders of this company designed this roundabout. The company Huib van den Hoven Plantsoenwerken has now been taken over by ISS Landscaping.

This design is characterized by the continuation of the roadways in the form of water, accompanied by hedges. The water, which is an extension of the roads, symbolizes the location of the municipality in a water-rich environment and the presence of one of the most important waterways in the immediate vicinity of Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht
