From Waymark WM17E9P, hike east for 0.25 miles. The marker is located about 150 feet east of a creek bed and the west closing sixteenth corner for section 5 (which I was not able to recover on this trip due to a thick layer of ice at the base of the witness T-post). This marker is at the base of a T-post; a chunk of metal has been taken out of it's northwest edge.
Type of survey mark: Brass cap on steel pipe

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
The marker is surrounded by a few small rocks and is about one inch east of a T-post that has been driven into the ground.

What property is this mark defining?:
BLM on all sides
