Saint Vincent de Paul Cathedral was designed in the Moorish, Gothic and Neo-Byzantine styles by the architect L. Bonnet-Labrance. It is dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul, patron saint of charity.

Construction of the church was completed in 1897. The steeples were not added until 1910 due to lack of funds. The towers are constructed of reinforced concrete using the Hennebique technique, which uses bars embedded in the base of the concrete slab for structural support and for fire protection.

The cathedral has a decorative facade of yellow and white tiles, a wrought iron door and marble columns that allow passage to a covered entrance. The church is open to visitors. Inside they will find an ornate altar and colorful stained glass windows. There is also a portrait gallery which displays images of many saints.
