Church dedicated to the Assumption is Baroque style. Its façade is made of solid brick, with Calatorao stone trim, divided into two parts: the main door opens at the bottom, with a semicircular arch; The rose window is located in the upper one and to its right the bell tower. It is a tower with a square section and brick cornices, ending with a polychrome glazed ceramic cap.
It has a Latin cross plan, with a central nave and a transept. The dome resting on the four pendentives, with an octagonal section, is located in the transept. In the central nave there are different auxiliary chapels connected to each other. The choir is located in the first section and, at the end, the main altar dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption.

The vault of the central nave and the transept is barrel vaulted with its corresponding transverse arches and openings throughout the entire nave.
It is supported by thick pilasters decorated with plaster and plaster mouldings. The entire interior of the church has a stucco wash covering the brick and stone that make up its walls.

The altarpiece of the main altar is made in honor of the Assumption of the Virgin, at the moment in which she ascends to heaven, surrounded by clouds and angels. It is a set of sculptures in high relief.
The altar follows classicist models with a pediment decorated with a large star, two Corinthian-style columns and two free-standing sculptures on its sides.

Accessibility. Urban helmet. On Calle Mayor and La Iglesia, currently pedestrianized.

Religious function. It is a Church built from a new plant with the creation of the New Town of Maria de Huerva in the s. XVII. From that time we have remains of tiles from Muel, of a funerary nature, relocated on the floor of the nave. The oldest from 1751.
