Camp Raffalli, Calvi - France - Military Installations on Waymarking.com

Ce camp militaire, situé en Balagne (Corse, Balagne) est la garnison du 2ème Régiment Étranger de Parachutistes. Il porte le nom du Chef d’escadrons Raffalli, mort au combat en Indochine en 1952.
La Légion étrangère est arrivée pour occuper ce camp entre 1965 et 1967. Il hébergeait auparavant le 1er Bataillon de Choc.
Le Camp Raffalli héberge un régiment de 1 200 hommes avec toutes commodités nécessaire à son entraînement. Il y a même une zone de saut, pour l’entraînement des Parachutistes.

This military camp, located in Balagne (Corsica, Balagne) is the garrison of the 2nd Foreign Parachute Regiment. It bears the name of Squadron Leader Raffalli, who died in combat in Indochina in 1952.
The Foreign Legion arrived to occupy this camp between 1965 and 1967. It previously housed the 1st Shock Battalion.
Camp Raffalli accommodates a regiment of 1,200 men with all the amenities necessary for its training. There is even a drop zone, for the training of Paratroopers.
