Railroad Station: Union Station, foot of State St., for N.Y., N.H. & H. R.R. and Central Vermont R.R.

American-Guide-Series - Connecticut: a Guide to its Roads, Lore, and People, p.255 (1938)

I am quite surprised that there was not more information provided in the Guide since the station was designed by the famous architect H. H. Richardson. It was Richardson's last and largest railroad station before he died. The station is massive. Tough to get a spot to park for a short time at this busy intersection.
