Navarre Beach is an exposed sandbar break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the north-northwest. Windswells are much more common than groundswells and the ideal wave angle is from the south-southeast. There can be good surf at all stages of the tide. The location means that it never gets crowded. Be aware that there can be rips and undertows, and this is also a popular location for snorkeling. There is plenty of public parking, and you can take the boardwalk from the parking area across the dunes all the way to the shoreline.
