The nearby Fishers Ghost creek powered this mill in its early years. At the time Campbelltown was a remote rural town far distant from the city of Sydney.
The water mill was replaced by steam, an early use of industrialism in this then remote community. the mill was demolished in the1920 and the building has been used as a maternity hospital and later a high class restaurant. The building has been unoccupied for many years although restoration plans are in place as it is now owned by the nearby Catholic Club
