"Seaman's Memorial is dedicated to Mississippi Merchant Mariners who have served their country in peace & in war. The memorial displays plaques of bronze bearing names of those honored, providing a lasting memorial to seafarers who served under the American flag. A special section is devoted to seamen who lost their lives at sea, while in the duty for their country, or in the pursuit of making their livelihood from the bounties of the sea.
The memorial is located in the triangle at Washington Avenue & Front Beach Drive."
