The artillery is one of two 'trophy guns' outside the World War Memorial Pool of Rockhampton. The German 10.5cm LFH 16 Light Field Howitzer was "Captured by 41st Battalion AIF, Amiens, 8 August 1918" ... and "Presented to the City of Rockhampton by the Queensland War Trophy Committee in 1920 as captured artifacts of the First World War. Restored in 2015 as a Queensland Centenary of ANZAC Initiative of the Queensland Government and Rockhampton Regional Council with technical advice provided by the Australian War Memorial.
