The Holy Trinity Anglican Church is part of the Anglican Diocese of the Windward Islands which is one of eight dioceses within the Province of the West Indies. Anglicanism was introduced to Saint Lucia when the British took control during the 18th century. In 1783 religious freedom was granted to the island.
Construction of the Holy Trinity Anglican Church began in 1830 and completed in 1832. The present brick church was built in 1894 in the Romanesque Revival style design by architect S.T. Wenbork.
The main entrance to the church is framed by a white stone Romanesque arch the base of a tall tower. Above is a louvered window within a rounded arch. At the top of the tower are three louvered windows with rounded tops on each side. The north side of the tower has a staircase leading to a door on the second level. A line of stones at the top of the tower form a crenellated roof.
The north side of the church is five bays deep with large Romanesque style windows framed by white stone blocks. The south side of the church has an auxiliary entrance pavilion at the third bay. The remaining four bays have large Romanesque style windows framed by white stone blocks. There is a two by wide addition at the back of the church.
The cornerstone is inscribed:
