[ES] El Palacio de los Superunda se trata de un palacio construido en el siglo XVI de estilo mayormente gótico y renacentista con alta influencia italiana. A pesar de que su primer residente fuera Ochoa de Aguirre, debe su nombre al Conde de Superunda y Marqués de Bermudo, que tuvo la posibilidad de heredarlo en el siglo XIX.
No fue hasta el año 1916 que fue adquirido por el pintor italiano, Guido Caprotti, el cual tiene en este mismo palacio una exposición de sus cuadros.
Qué ver en el Palacio de los Superunda
A medida que nos acercamos al edificio podemos apreciar que se trata de un palacio de planta cuadrada con dos torreones a sus laterales y dos plantas. El palacio de los Superunda no destaca por su complejidad exterior, sino todo lo contrario, simple pero simétrico.
Su interior desprende un aire renacentista completamente, con su patio interior y exterior, zaguán y caballerizas. Pero, sobre todo, tiene un aire a museo de unos de sus antiguos residentes, el pintor, Guido Caprotti.
Podremos disfrutar de la visita de cada una de las salas, patios y habitaciones, al mismo tiempo que tenemos la posibilidad de apreciar la variada obra del artista italiano que se encuentran en cada una de ellas.
Por último, el palacio posee dos obras del artista y pintor español, Joaquín Sorolla: “Los padres de Laura de La Torre” y “Laura Hernández y Félix de La torre”.
Curiosidades
Según cuenta la historia, el pintor italiano Guido Caprotti se dirigía a Madrid en la ruta París- Madrid, cuando una fuerte nevada se interpuso en su camino. Debido al mal tiempo el tren tuvo que parar en la ciudad más cercana, Ávila, lo que llevó al artista a pisar la ciudad y conocerla.
El resto es historia: Caprotti se enamoró tanto de Ávila que decidió comprar el Palacio de los Superunda para que se convirtiese en su domicilio habitual. A día de hoy podemos ver diversas obras del artista expuestas en el edificio.

As we get closer to the building we can see that it is a palace with a square plan with two towers on its sides and two floors. The Superunda palace does not stand out for its external complexity, but quite the opposite, simple but symmetrical.
Its interior gives off a completely Renaissance air, with its interior and exterior patio, hallway and stables. But, above all, it has an air of a museum of one of its former residents, the painter, Guido Caprotti.
We will be able to enjoy the visit of each of the halls, patios and rooms, at the same time that we have the possibility of appreciating the varied work of the Italian artist found in each one of them.

Curiosities
As the story goes, the Italian painter Guido Caprotti was heading to Madrid on the Paris-Madrid route, when a heavy snowfall got in his way. Due to bad weather, the train had to stop in the nearest city, Ávila, which led the artist to set foot in the city and get to know it.
The rest is history: Caprotti fell in love with Ávila so much that he decided to buy the Palacio de los Superunda so that it would become his habitual residence. Today we can see various works by the artist exhibited in the building.
