[ES] Se halla situado dentro del recinto amurallado, próximo a las puertas del Matadero y del Rastro, junto a otras edificaciones de destacado valor artístico e histórico.

Su construcción se sitúa a finales del siglo xv y principios del xvi, coincidiendo con el gran apogeo de la arquitectura civil. Algunos autores cuestionan el origen civil del palacio debido al tipo de portada que en él se abre, más propia de una orden religiosa. El edificio consta de dos plantas con torreón de tres alturas en uno de sus extremos y linda por un lado con el Palacio de los Superunda y con la Biblioteca y el Museo Teresiano por otro. En la fachada, severa y de mampostería de granito, se abre la portada principal, semejante a la de la Mansión de los Velada, renacentista con reminiscencias medievales. Tiene un notable arco de medio punto con grandes dovelas enmarcado por una moldura en forma de alfiz que se prolonga para albergar una ventana arquitrabada y con arco conopial. Decoran este conjunto sendos escudos y una fina greca que recorre la parte interior del alfiz.

El acceso al interior del edificio se hace a través de un amplio zaguán con tres puertas: la principal y las de acceso a la capilla y al actual convento. Las plantas, baja y principal, se comunican mediante una escalera doble. El patio, de muy pequeñas proporciones y con fachadas pobres y enfoscadas, no tiene ninguna traza especial que recuerde a los característicos patios palaciegos.

[EN] It is located within the walled enclosure, near the gates of the Matadero and the Rastro, along with other buildings of outstanding artistic and historical value.

Its construction dates back to the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th, coinciding with the great heyday of civil architecture. Some authors question the civil origin of the palace due to the type of doorway that opens on it, more typical of a religious order. The building consists of two floors with a three-story tower at one end and adjoins the Palace of the Superunda on one side and the Library and the Teresian Museum on the other. On the façade, severe and made of granite masonry, the main portal opens, similar to that of the Mansion de los Velada, Renaissance with medieval reminiscences. It has a remarkable semicircular arch with large voussoirs framed by a molding in the shape of an alfiz that extends to house an architrave window with an ogee arch. This set is decorated by two shields and a fine fretwork that runs along the inside of the alfiz.

Access to the interior of the building is through a wide hall with three doors: the main one and those that give access to the chapel and the current convent. The ground and main floors are connected by a double staircase. The patio, of very small proportions and with poor, plastered façades, does not have any special features reminiscent of the characteristic palatial patios.
