Een hunebed tweeling
van de 52 Drentse hunebedden staan er zestien in paren bij elkaar en nog eens zes vormen 2 groepjes van 3
D28 en D29 zijn een voorbeeld van een hunebedden tweeling. Ze hebben ieder een eigen geschiedenis, al kan de bezoeker van nu dat niet zien.
In D29 is nooit gegraven, terwijl D28 in 1927 helemaal is opgegraven.
bij de opgraving van 1927 werden twee kleine maar bijzondere voorwerpen gevonden. Het zijn kralen gemaakt van koperdraad dat in een spiraal is gedraaid. In de tijd waarin de hunebedden als graf werden gebruikt 3400 en 2850 v.Chr. was metaal in ons land nog onbekend. Alleen in Zuidoost-Europa waar kopererts in de boden voorkomt , kende men al werktuigen en sieraden van dit metaal. De kralen van Buinen moeten uit dat gebied zijn ingevoerd. Het zijn waarschijnlijk de oudste metalen voorwerpen van Nederland
