This labyrinth is a replica of the famous Chartres Cathedral in Chartres, France. This one is made with inlayed stone paths painted tan, with the borders of smaller stones painted brown for visual contrast. The overall circular labyrinth is about 42 feet in diameter and forms an 11-circuit path.
The main entrance into the Church building is accessible on the San Jacinto Blvd side of the block. Parking at the garage is accessed from East 8th Street. Once you are parked, walk to the main doors facing toward East 8th Street and tell the receptionist that you are there to walk the labyrinth. They will either tell you the gate is unlocked already or they will assist you by opening the gate to give you access. Decent the steps from the gate down to the much lower level of the labyrinth. Once at the labyrinth, you can begin the relaxation and meditation process of walking the labyrinth toward the center. Once you are ready, begin your way out of the labyrinth by following the same path back. Return up the stairway, close the gate, and proceed back to your car.
