This church doesn't have a history page on their regular website or their Facebook page. The old church's cornerstone says 1924. In 1920 I found an old Austin Statesman article about Rev. Jesse Yelvington, pastor of First Baptist Church of Smithville, visiting relatives. No reference to where the Baptist Church was located at that time.
There is a new church located next to the old one, erected in 1980.
