Since this triangulation station and its reference marks were monumented, the directions found in the NGS data sheet description have become fairly irrelevant. Several of the roads mentioned in the description are merely faint traces on the landscape now, and new roads now run through this area to service various oil well sites. As such, my description for how I reached the marks in the Fall of 2022 is as follows:

From Wyoming State Highway 59, turn onto Heald Road (Rocky Point Road) at N44 38.213 W105 20.178. Travel northeasterly for approximately 5.5 miles and turn northward at the intersection of Heald Road and a scoria-graveled road at N44 40.728 W105 15.286. Veer left at the diversion of graveled roads at N44 41.733 W105 15.845. Turn right (north) onto a small two-track graveled road at N44 41.833 W105 16.294 and park near N44 41.871 W105 16.300. From these coordinates, hike up the steep eastern slopes of a hill at a bearing of 250 degrees for approximately 900 feet to reach the top of the hill, the station, and the two reference marks. Reference mark 1 is set in the top of a metal pipe on the southern edge of the hilltop and projects about 6 inches above the ground; it is about 25 feet to the southeast of the station mark.
