The mark once sat adjacent to the Broadus Road that travelled between Gillette, Wyoming, and Broadus, Montana. This road has since been re-routed to the west and is now named State Highway 59. The mark is set in the top of a round concrete monument that projects about one inch above the ground and is about one foot to the west of a fiberglass witness post.
