This waymark is set at the actual border, as required by this category. The signs shown are at N 36° 49.927 W 116° 52.829, about three miles northeast of the actual border, at the park entrance.
U.S. 374 crosses the border between Nevada and California about three miles west of the entrance to Death Valley National Park. However, this set of signs is NOT at the actual border! You can see a marked change in the road surface here, where the State and the Park apparently has different maintenance priorities. The signs greet visitors both coming and going (Welcome to Nevada / Thanks For Visiting Nevada).
