George Town is the capital and largest city in the Cayman Islands, located on Grand Cayman.
Heroes Square is at the heart of the city of George Town with tasteful landscaping, a fountain, monuments, statues, one of them honouring women. There is also a timeline wall which sets out some of the chronological milestones in the development of the Cayman Islands and there is a Wall of Honour, which lists the names of 500 Caymanians who have, at various different times, contributed to the improvement of the Cayman Islands.
Surrounding the square are several important public structures including the Legislative Assembly Building, Peace Memorial, Clock Tower, Public Library and the Post Office.
