This small labyrinth is about 24 feet in diameter and is only a 5-circuit labyrinth. The crushed gravel path has borders made of a mixture of medium river rocks interspersed with some that are painted, some that have names on them, and some of odd shapes. This mixture of rocks itself is a cause for meditation along the path! The width of the pathway by necessity is rather narrow and makes quick turns, so awareness of where you step is important. There is a lot going on within this labyrinth.
A labyrinth is a single pathway into its center and the same path is used to exit the labyrinth. The concept for walking a labyrinth is to allow yourself to meditate and release your tensions and worries on the way in. At the center, you can release those frustrations and leave them there in the center. Return on the same path back with a more relaxed attitude of hope and contentment.
