The XXIIIrd Olympiad display presents weapons from Trap, Skeet, Rifle and pistol. These items were donated by Robert E. Peterson, who was the commissioner of shooting Sports for the 1984 Olympics. Robert E. Peterson, also donated land and built the venues that were used. This was also the first Olympics that featured women's shooting events.

Robert Stack is featured here due to his position as shotgun sports advisor during the Olympics, he was a champion shotgunner prior to his service during WWII and his career as an actor.

While most of the firearms are American, one is from Denmark and another from England.
