Parque La Ceiba is the first public, ecological and cultural park in Playa del Carmen. Since 2008, the year of its opening, it has been promoted as a space for learning, recreation, creation and artistic and cultural awareness for the community. The park annually receives approximately 24,000 visitors and performs various festivals and environmental and cultural meetings.

One of the main objectives is to be able to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of the area. Family integration and environmental education are encouraged, under a scheme of participation between different sectors of society (Government, Private Initiative and Civil Society).

In the playground section of the park we saw swings, slides, climbing structure and tires which were well used by many children when we were there.

We visited Parque La Ceiba in February 2018 during our holidays. We loved walking on the trails in the park's jungle layout and saw women in action at a dance class. The park offers many activities for children, and meditation and yoga classes for adults, among others. We also enjoyed a good Mexican meal at the park restaurant "the Cafeteria".

The park is closed on Sunday
