The station, currently used by VIA Rail, was built in 1856 for the Grand Trunk Railway. It is one of 34 stations built in this design, and only one of 9 still in existence, It, along with Napanee and Georgetown, remain in use today.

The station in automated. However the waiting room is open for the 6 trains daily that stop here. Times are 60 minutes prior to and 30 minutes after scheduled arrival/departure times.

The station is located on Hayward Street.
