Just five mins walk from Tokyo Metro Ueno Hirokoji Station, Usagiya, founded on 1913, first sells "monaka" ,a type of sweet made with a sweetened bean paste.

The name "Usagiya", means Rabit, came from the founder of this shop was born in the zodiac year of the rabbit.

"Dorayaki" is also popular sweets in Tokyo which everyone knows. If you visit Ueno area, This is the place to enjoy the traditional Japanese sweets.
