A natural spring at Wheatland. We former US President James Buchanan often visited this pond when he lived at Wheatland.

The sign says, "President Buchanan enjoyed frequent walks outdoors and across his estate. One of his favorite stops was here, where a freshwater spring fed a pond. Buchanan once told his doctor that if there was any truth in reincarnation, he would choose to return as a frog in this spring."
