In 1935 he was already a practitioner, so during the war he was always in the medical corps.

Already in French exile he continued to fight against fascism and was part of the Resistance. In 1944 he was arrested and deported to Mauthausen where he continued to help in the infirmary.

He was released on May 5, 1945, and returned to France. He married Anne Marie and worked as a nurse. But the torture of what he experienced in the concentration camp made it impossible for him to continue practicing his profession. So he returned to the trade learned from his father in childhood, that of a hairdresser.

Close to his retirement, Ángel wanted to testify to his experiences in Mauthausen and he did so through plastic expression, making a large number of figures that show the physical degradation of the human being and his suffering.

His stolperstein was placed on July 2, 2021 at 6 Concepción Jerónima street.”
