To reach this marker, turn east onto the scoria-graveled road that leads to Little Powder River Reservoir from State Highway 59 at N44 38.579 W105 20.398. Drive for 0.85 miles and park near N44 38.772 W105 19.597. Hike cross-country to the north for about 0.4 miles to the sixteenth corner. The cap & pipe are located on the north side of an east-west fence, but can easily be observed without having to cross the fence.

The mark is surrounded by a few rocks and sits about one foot to the southwest of a T-post that has been driven into the ground.
