KAY NO 2 - Custer County, Idaho - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

Reference mark 2 is the only remaining reference mark from the original KAY triangulation station, which was replaced by KAY 2 in 1978 after KAY was presumably removed during highway widening. As such, the reference mark's arrow points about 90 degrees in the wrong direction from the newer KAY 2. The mark is set in a round concrete monument that projects about 3 inches above the ground and is located about 70 feet to the northwest of station KAY 2. Parking can be found on the nearby dirt road.
