"Due to its extension and its proximity to Pontevedra, the City Council of Cerdedo-Cotobade is a very good option for making small incursions into magical spaces full of charm and natural and ethnographic diversity. For this reason, from Guíate Galicia we suggest you enjoy a beautiful corner that is located on the banks of the Lérez River: the Hanging Bridge and the Fluvial do Canal Beach with its riverside walks. Its access is easy since from the N541 itself, at the height of the Calvelo nucleus on the K85 there is an 800m paved detour that reaches the vicinity of the Suspension Bridge and the Fluvial Beach, in whose parking lot the vehicle can be parked.

From the car park to the Hanging Bridge there are about 100m, of which a part runs through a path that connects with a wooden walkway that leads directly to the Hanging Bridge suspended over the waters of the Lérez River joining the banks of Calvelo and A Retorta, incorporated into the Natura 2000 Network. It is one of the few existing passes in several kilometers that cross the narrow valley of the river.

The Suspension Bridge, modern in style and municipal property, is made up of two masonry structures whose heads support the thick steel braces that support the wooden platform. It has an approximate length of 30m long, suspended at about 18m above the waters of the Lérez.

From the center of the bridge there are excellent panoramic views of the river banks of multicolored vegetation."
